1973 Vintage Sunburst Gibson Les Paul Standard Guitar. The 1973 Sunburst Gibson Les Paul Standard is the First Year thatthe Gibson Factory made the Les Paul in the full size humbucker Standard Burst Configuration since the legendary 1958 - 1960 production series. In addition, the 1973 Les Paul Standard has the desirable mohogany neck. In 1975, Gibsonbegan making Les Pauls with a maple neck. This is a special guitar with very few being made in 1973! I purchased this guitar many years ago in its current condition, and it has seldomly left my home.The guitar is naturally lightly reliced in nice overall condition being 38 years old. Faded tobacco (very cool root beer) sunburst birdseye maple top as pictured. Weight9.5 pounds having a balanced lighter feel while playing. No cracks nor repairs. Neck straight without issue. Frets in great shape. Headstock never drilled out and no extra holes. 'G' tuner had been replaced with an original vintage single ring 1960's gold kluson deluxe and 'A' tuner with minor bent shaft. All tuners turn smoothly and work well. Original patent sticker humbuckers with original covers never removed andtheir pot solder jointsappearing original. Humbuckers are a matching pair being 7.14 and 7.09 ohms. Original pots and capacitors. Pot number 1377348. Jack plate had been replaced as was common.Resonant easy playingLes Paul with a comfortable 60's styleneck and warm vintage patent sticker humbucker tone.
