>2009 Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional Plus
Slightly used 2009 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Plus. I had
Guitar Center special order this for me from Gibson just over a year ago. I
hate parting with it-I just need a guitar with a coil tap. It has only been
played in my house and church. It has about 100 hours of playing time on it,
and that is very easy to tell. The body is not chambered which gives it the
sustain and tone that comes from a solid mahogany body. It plays very nicely
and has a clear, robust and full tone. It had the PLEK process applied to the
neck for precise intonation. It sounds spectacular with crunch, clean, or high drive.
I used it with a high end Soldano/Marshall stack but it also sounded remarkable
through my church’s mediocre non-tube Vox. It has a Classic 57 Humbucker in
the neck, and a Classic 57 Humbucker Plus in the bridge. The neck is 50’s
rounded. You can see in the pics how it changes shades depending on the light and the angle.
This is a fabulous Les Paul which plays, looks, sounds, and
feels spectacular. There are only a few very minor surface scratches on the
back that do not show up in the photos. There is a dent about half the size of
a grain of rice from the pickguard which was there when I bought it-it barely
shows in one of the photos. The head has a couple of string scratches which I tried to capture in the photos.None of the scratches are noticeable unless you are
looking for them. The OHSC has a few minor scuffs but is in otherwise great shape.
I called Gibson and they said this link has all the details
for this particular guitar;
I took the pick guard off for the photos but it is included
with the screws, along with the owner’s manual.
