1966 1967 Gibson Sg Standard Px For Les Paul

New Articles

RELISTED - Due to someone bidding in dollars! This is a £ sterling auction so potential buyers from outside the UK will need to bear that in mind!

I'm selling the one I always said I'd never sell. A genuine original 1966 Gibson SG standard. No breaks, no repairs, no refinishes. 100% original. Huge finish checking and crazing and a fair few bumps and bangs and wear and tear. A truly 100% original relic. My main gigging guitar until 6 months ago. Too rare and delicate to risk now. This is the actual age and model used by Paul Weller and Angus Young for recording. The single piece mahogony neck, 9/16" nut and fretless wonder frets with plenty of life left - no refret, twin line klusons. Single piece mahogony body with batwing plate and two T Top patent sticker pickups reading 7.56 and 7.69. Etched vibrola with arm and chrome patent number bridge with plastic saddles. CTS pots and one I can read is 13766 making it a 1966 but the serial number is indicative of 1967 so it could be either. A couple of screw holes in the plate where it had M69 rings fitted at on time. But hey she's no museum piece. One for the player and collector as these are very rare in undamaged condition.

I would consider P/X as I want another Gibson Les Paul. Prefer a Custom or Standard Ideally from the 1970s but open to suggestions.

Will ship worldwide. Any questions feel free. Bid with confidence 100% feedback.
